Easter!

First time I have used the fun Southern Living glasses Valeri gave me

Enjoying a good Sunday morning

I can make lots of waffles from my 3 waffle irons - thanks girls for starting my collection!

Lynsey & Matthew Mize came up to enjoy brunch with us and brought monkey bread

After brunch Valeri & Stanley hid plastic eggs in the backyard for us "kids" while Lynsey and I hid treats in the front yard for the dogs.

Matthew shut the door and the windows so they "couldn't peek" but it might have helped them be more interested. This is after they were allowed to see outside again.

Lynsey and I search for eggs - we were told we were too OLD for obvious hiding spots so had to look under grass, bark, dirt...

I think I was severely handicapped by my hair blowing in my face, at least that's what I'm going to say is my excuse for poor performance. It was a very blustery day!

I thought without Carrie around I might have a better chance but SOMEBODY kept finding all the eggs!

Happy egg hunters

Wally finds his first treat!
Wally had to wear a leash so it would be fair for Toby. Sorry Waldo...

Toby is only paying attention to Titus' markings...

"This is what I think of you Titus."

"Toby, RIGHT THERE! You like these! SEE? You want it!"
Maybe wrought iron frightens him.

"Sniff sniff - there's something in here, I just know it... You smell it Waldo?"

"Here's one!"

Laugh if you must but I bet you've never seen a dog treat easter hunt before!
We love our doggie children!

An ant makes a get away with a piece of treat.

I started reading book 2 of Dahveed this weekend. Toby is tuckered out from all the play with Wally. He's my favorite reading buddy.

Ryan and Stanley washed both vehicles while Valeri and I enjoyed reclining and relaxing inside!
Sadly they had to leave on Monday - but we're so glad they came to visit and so thankful for our wonderful Easter. And now I'm going to break into my white chocolate easter bunny from Mom and Dad!

Mom and Dad Knight come to visit

Making Thai food on Friday

Ryan ran two clinics for Academy Days this weekend.
This is the gymnastics clinic.

The basketball clinic had rotations to 5 stations

Dribbling drill

Ryan makes good use of his voice amplifier

It was nice to have somebody else to enjoy playing my piano

Valeri made cheese nut patties and Sabbath potatoes for Sabbath lunch - Ryan's request - can't pass up a momma's food!

The good dishes got full use this weekend

We took a nice walk on our greenway in the afternoon

April First

This is the first squirrel I've seen in our feeder the entire time we have lived here - I'd like to know how he got up there! But he broke a piece on the back of the tray doing it.

In the morning they are closed...

But in the afternoon they open!

I've decided I love bulbs - work one time - then enjoy them for years to come. I'm enjoying these flowers and I didn't do any of the work to get them!

Buds

More buds

Stanley and Valeri are coming and I was trying to keep the clean bathroom rugs fluffy but somebody loves soft things so I gave up...

*****
Today is also Jason Rector's 4th birthday! Hardly seems like it has been a year since the last one.

I asked Jason to smile and this is what I got...

Jason and his daddy Joe like to put together Legos - this is the Lego racecar Jason picked out for his birthday. The other 3 kids are Che, Seth, and Addie? who belong to the Enos. Mrs. Eno teaches an English class at OAA.

Everybody loves playdoh! Especially when you can make animals out of it.
(Joe was catching a snooze... too much birthday goodness!)

Sabbath pictures

An after dinner peanut butter snack for Toby

Titus came to visit - but this picture is really all about how the moles damage our front yard so that its soft and muddy and gross.

Spring has sprung

This is how much Toby loves Muttley - he chews his ears

Seeing that I was taking a picture of Muttley - Toby decided to join the picture. And here is an example of how his floppy flipped over ears often ruin an otherwise great shot.

This is not staged - this is true love...
"Thank you for Muttley Carrie! He is my best friend - next to Waldo."
See my Photoshop Elements edits of this picture below.

Ryan is learning how to play a few songs for me.

When the dishes are done and the sun is shining - it makes me happy.
One of the students gave me the daffodil in the window at church.
Like the colors in this shot too.

This is Toby's play area. He pulls out his toys and either lays on one toy while chewing on another or lays on the towel and chews on something.

We had Wally and his family over for tacos and a movie on Saturday night. Toby and Wally are so good at sharing they can eat or drink at the same time. Although the food dish is too little for both heads so they take turns.
