Jackson at 13 weeks

Flying high with Dad

I like to grab Mommy's fingers

And I'm starting to hold onto other things too but I can't always figure out how to let go.

I'm usually the first one dressed and ready for the day at our house. This is Dad's day off so he got up a little later than usual too.

But I'm also the first one to go back to sleep...

My new mobile is very distracting when Mom is trying to take my crib pictures now.

I'm wanting to grab and put everything in my mouth.

The other kids in Sabbath School raking up the leaf mess they just made.

My first time in Sabbath School! I was so sleepy but couldn't fall asleep because there was so much activity going on around me. I liked watching the teacher the best.

Hi!

Afternoon is not my best time for picture taking.

Me & my mom

We almost lost Toby today! So thankful we didn't.

After Dinner Conversation

Grandma time

Grandma comes to visit

Reading books with Grandma

I didn't cry this time!

Found this play yard for $15 at a thrift store! One of the animals was missing but we had the nice big ball from Grandpa & Grandma Rilea to put on there instead.

Jackson loves it and it gives Mommy and Daddy a break!

Daddy's Sequence partner

I want to play a Jack Dad!
Jackson has started to grab things this week but he doesn't always know how to let them go or do it again when he wants to so he gets frustrated.

Making pumpkin muffins

Enjoying time with Grandma after Sabbath lunch

They make each other smile

This week Jackson has been in existence for 1 year starting on the inside, 3 months on the outside.

Bundled up for a Sabbath afternoon walk

The lone tree with leaves in the Northwoods

On Sunday we went to the Nelson farm with the Stocks. Here's Farmer Jack!

Our kiddos! Cate, Jackson, Ben
He did really well. No fussing - he just fell asleep when he was tired.

In a mellow mood after a nap.

Not feeling too smiley

Grandma says that soon this is how we will find Jackson in the morning.

11 weeks old

Reading a new Curious George collection. There's a story in there where George lets all of the penguins out at the aquarium. We all know whose favorite that would be.

Bath time!

 Ready to hit the links

Friday night in the nursery spending some quiet time while Dad is out in the dorm on duty.

 Fritz likes to hold Jackson.

Visiting Dad in his office on Sabbath afternoon.

A Day in the Life of Jackson Kenneth...

This is how Jackson spent his day on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 as best as his mommy could document it - minus several diaper changes, smiles, naps, and cuddles. But we hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

 8:17 AM - I wake up!

 Hi mom!

I am always up next to the front of my crib in the morning - Mommy would love to know how I do this.

 8:21 AM - 1st diaper change
Then it is time to get dressed.

Every baby's favorite part of getting dressed; the garment over the head.

8:31 AM - Time to eat
Necessary equipment: Boppy, burp cloth, baby, Kindle, comfy chair

First time wearing my dump truck outfit from Grandma MJ!

I always like to cross my feet while eating.

8:54 AM - Done eating! But there is another reason why I'm smiling...

8:59 AM - 2nd diaper change for a big poopy!
Look at me go on the changing table. (Hereafter diaper changes will be omitted from this documentary for the sake of time and space. Ha ha.)

9:05 AM - Sit in the hallway and play in bouncer while Mom gets a shower.

9:33 AM - Watch from the bed while Mom finishes getting ready.

9:51 AM - Time for my morning nap
I sleep while Mommy goes to the Ad building to work with her student worker and Daddy stays with me then takes me to his office when I wake up. Mommy and Daddy have to-go lunch from the cafe.

1:05 PM - Awake and fed and back to play in the bouncer while Mom works on the computer.

1:50 PM - Done with the bouncer; sometimes a baby just wants to be held.

1:57 PM - But sometimes the swing is fun too!

2:09 PM - Dad comes back from teaching Bible and gets to eat his cafeteria lunch while he talks to me.
After this Mom fed me again and then we took a nap in the recliner.

5:05 PM - Dad comes in from his office to take a break because its cold out there!

5:17 PM - Hanging out with my big brother Toby

5:25 PM - Bundled up and ready to go to supper in the cafeteria. Mr. & Mrs. Johnson held me while Mom and Dad ate and talked to people.

6:31 PM - Asleep halfway through my supper.

8:57 PM - Dad comes in to take a break from study hall. Mom has been reading me and Toby some stories while the baseball playoffs are on muted.

Dad is stealing my nose and cheeks.

9:02 PM - Wanted a change of place to my blanket on the floor so I can watch Toby

Toby even lets me pet him as long as Mom is petting him too.

9:29 PM - Time for my bedtime snack

10:03 PM - Goodnight everybody!
My room isn't really this bright; the camera just makes it look that way. I have my own personal room heater and the nice blue night light is on my baby monitor.
