View of Maplewood Academy

 Our ride

Huge room inside the Mall of America
The mall is 4 stories high I think - These were neat Lego displays. There are stores all around the center big room on all of the floors. HUGE!

Hospital in the town where the school is

 Main drag of Hutchinson

 Town square

 Downtown section

What the countryside looks like but also with a lot of lakes and ponds all over the place. Lots of fields with dark dark black rich soil.

 Boys dorm

Boys dorm right, girls dorm left

 Church

 Ad building

 Boys dorm lobby

Coming in boy's dorm lobby halls go down both sides. A 2nd floor lobby is right above this one with more couches and ping pong table. There is also a 3rd floor that is only used for alumni weekend/campmeeting.

Music and home ec room in this building that sits on the very left side of campus closest to the girls dorm. Cafeteria is in the basement of this building.

 Cafeteria

Home ec room above the cafe

Gymnasium with ball field behind. Gym sits between and behind the dorms. School mascot is the Huskies - kids told us it happened because the history teacher who has been there for 47 years has always owned one and his Husky even comes to class with him sometimes.

Left corner of the boys dorm houses the dean's apt. That outside door is our outside access. The large window is the dining room area, wall is the living room, next window down is the master bedroom. Kitchen is to the left of the outside door with other 2 bedrooms behind.

Hall in the basement of the boys dorm

Gutted boy's dorm worship room in the basement due to flooding - this picture looks light thanks to my camera but it is very very dark down there.
Ad building is capable of handling a lot more kids. Very nice auditorium.

2nd floor hallway in the Ad building.

And that's all folks. Didn't want to feel too conspicuous taking lots of pictures...

Back yard views

The rest of the story

Here are a few of the other pictures (different from the ones on Carrie's blog) of our weekend painting Baby ????'s nursery.

Pausing during the primer coat for fantasy baseball draft time. I had to draft my own team and Ryan's because he was on a plane to Phoenix, AZ It was fun drafting four teams in the same room.

Back to painting the primer coat

 A little Rookie lovin'

We tried in vain to get the baby moving on video.
This baby is easily deterred from activity - may she stay that way when she reaches "the other side."

First coat of paint Saturday night

 Wall not Ryan - Carrie!

Little break for duck hunt. Oh wait, no ducks yet...
Time for the second coat. The light that comes in this room is very nice. The color is really pretty and unique. I can see so many fun things happening in this room.

How did we get from this...

To this....?
Is this really happening?

Yep, sure is!
