SA Weekend: NWA Naturals Baseball game

The young staff led the students in chattering from the outfield every time the Tulsa Drillers had 2 strikes.

SA Weekend: Junk Scramble

Ryan's bright and shining newly finished floor - about to be scuffed up by running kids.

Freshmen on the left - Sophomores on the right
They don't have much room behind the outside court lines!

I ended up keeping score for the Juniors and Sophomores so I didn't get to take many pictures - most of these are ones I stole from the school's website taken by Mr. Fisher.

We introduced Ozark to Air Raids using Ryan's voice amplifier

"C'mon - give us the point!"
Ryan and Pastor Paul were the judges.

"Britney - that is NOT a pet."
She's one of Ryan's gymnastics captains.

Ryan also introduced the center crash mat - they had some system with flags and cones before.

Juniors

Seniors - the winners but only by a few points.

SA Weekend: Church and Picnic

Unloading the buses as John Brown University for church. I wish I could have gotten a few pics of the campus but we didn't have time to walk around.

In the health building for church - song service led by students.

Mark Decker - our Marketing/Recruitment/Administrative Dean/Graphic Designer/Screenprinting manager painted while Pastor Paul (Associate pastor of the church) spoke. It was amazing to watch - he started with just the yellow orange color all over - he knew exactly how his spacing would work for the whole thing when he began - and then he filled in the other colors. He was just painting on a piece of fabric stretched over some PVC with a little foam square brush. Want to have him design your t-shirts? Check out OAA's Skyline industry online and you'll help the school out too! ;-)

****
After church we went to a parent's house for a picnic lunch.

Mr. Pierson serving lasanga

Mrs. Pierson (cafe director) passing out bread

I like Mr. Barber's chair (history/social studies teacher)

Chaplain Kevin Burton and Leandro Bizama, the music and Spanish teacher.

All set - musically speaking

A few quick pics of Ryan's new guitar - we've had sore fingers this week! Got to build those callouses back up.

Sunday morning golf

Meet our doggie neighbors and see Ryan's office

Meet the newest member of our doggie neighborhood - Baxter. He was barking at us with his mouth full. Every day he looks bigger when I walk past. Toby still looks for Buddy when we walk by but gets greeted by his little bark.

This is the other Toby in the neighborhood - sorry for the bad picture. All of his neighbors are little dogs so his bark is the biggest but once I say his name he quiets down. You can see some residual fence damage from the ice storm.

We met a dog running around campus - never seen him before but this is not unusual around here. Collars and fences are superfluous around here it seems. He wore Toby out running and wrestling - Toby is no Jack Russell for energy it seems. We lost him when a rabbit chase took his attention.

Since I don't think we've posted pics of this before - here's Ryan's office on the gym stage.

We installed the shelves on the wall early this summer so Ryan can organize all of his jerseys and gymnastics uniforms.

The banner is a sample for the sponsorship banners that will be up in the gym shortly! SWAU's is leaning up against the box ready to be hung! The utility shelf (on loan from Mom and Dad) is all intramural jerseys.

Thanks to Dean Magers for the great organizer on the wall for Ryan's homework assignments. And you can just see the edge of one of those great bookshelves from Kingsway College courtesy of Randy and MJ. Ryan's also enjoying using that voice amplifier from them too!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Blow out the candles - turn off the smoke alarm - eat pie - run out the door to work

Ryan drew on my car for the occasion

Ryan has the gym floor sanded down for refinishing - this has been a big project for him over the last two weeks.
