Dissonance

Well, sadly, this is the only picture I have from this weekend... Jonathan and Kelli trying to remedy the locked-keys-in-the-car phenomenon. Friday night and Sabbath afternoon the six of us went to premarital counseling sessions at the church. I guess this is where the rubber meets the road.

Sunday afternoon Carrie, Kelli and bridesmaids, and I looked at bridesmaid's dresses for their weddings at Davids Bridal. Trying to get a real idea of what dresses might look like is a little frustrating. But I think Carrie came to some more final decisions (and I hope Kelli did too).

This is how my nursing theory group feels about presenting Rogers Science of Unitary Human Beings... We are really just sensing dissonance in our energy fields as a result of trying to pattern our life forces toward understanding this ridiculous theorectical framework. Hence our Christmas antenna to communicate with the extraterrestrial beings Rogers, M. (1970) thinks will be a part of our consciousness sometime soon. Give me any citation and I'm sure I can almost put it into APA format without even looking it up. I can't wait for the resonance I'm sure I will feel on Dec. 13 when ALL of my papers and projects will be absolutely and unequivocally FINISHED! Halelujah! NO MORE CLASS or ASSIGNMENTS! Forevermore, amen! On to the Master's Project, teaching practicum, and GRADUATION!

Miscellaneous Thanksgiving fun

Look what my amazing friend Carrie made for me:

A penguin puzzle!

Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Marilyn made a spur of the moment trip from Maryland to our house for breakfast on Sunday. Uncle Ronnie brought some of Grandma's chocolate cake that I am still enjoying!

The joys of the Greensboro interchange... one thing I will NOT miss about living in Raleigh

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Iversons came over for Thanksgiving dinner this year!

Thanksgiving comes but once a year...

As Ryan would say, clean plate clubbers! This is my Grammy Ford's Princess House china with an F at the top. Carrie got the gold plate (the rest are silver) this year so she had to say the blessing.

Carrie with an owl mask

Dad laughing at an "Application to date my daughter," too bad he can't still use it on Ryan...

Clean up

A parking lot Christmas

Ryan H and I met Carrie in Asheville on Tuesday night and continued on to Carrie's parents house in Winston Salem. Wednesday morning we walked with the dogs in the woods behind their house.

Carrie throws a stick for Maggie. Oreo was too fast to get any pictures, just imagine a black and white blur.

The stars aligned perfectly for Lindsey, Carrie, and I to meet in a parking lot in Greensboro for an early Christmas! This has to be our most unusual Christmas yet!

Recipe for a parking lot Christmas: 3 white cars, an empty parking space, 3 girls, some photographers, and presents!

Lindsey has a snowman fetish. Here's her new cookie jar! (and she's about to fall over so I had to snap it quickly)

Tara, we miss you!
